Explore our urchins or 'Uni'
Spanish Urchins
'Garotes'
Smaller than their Scottish contemporaries, these little black spiky delicacies are known as erizo de mar, translated to sea hedgehog.
Hand dived and harvested in the winter when the tideless Mediterranean is lower.
Spanish urchins have a salty complex sea taste and a consistency so light they are almost foamy.
Urchin lovers will relish eating these five fleshy coral tongues just as they are with zero adulteration.
Shetland Urchins
Beautiful big scottish Uni
The largest of all our urchins the Shetland is a beauty with it's soft clover appearance.
Around the size of a large grapefruit this hand dived Uni really is a glorious specimen.
rich buttery, briny umami flavours. Perfect for elevating your fine dining menu.
Brittany Urchins
A sweet creamy ocean flavour.
Rich in vitamin C and vitamin A, they are a good source of protein. (Also rumoured to be an aphrodisiac, but that’s another story…)
